Our newest family member
Meet "Rub" the newest member of the Bravo family. Jaden has been wanting a pet of his own forever. The dogs just were not enough for him, lol. Yesterday we saw a listing on craig's list that someone was giving this little guy away. His previous owner Willy had grown up a bit and wanted to give him a home where someone would pay good attention to him. Rub's previous name was "Mr. Hobbs" which I think fits him a little better, but who can argue with a five year old? Jaden has been staring at him through the cage since he got here, and Rub just wants to hide in his little igloo house. Quite a pair, lol.
Well, that's it, I just wanted to introduce you to my newest kid, lol!

Mine didn't show up...I used to have guines pigs. They are great pets - a little stinky, but they are great. He can join 4-H and show him. I did - hard to believe I know! He is an American TS&W. But He is a She from what I can see.
Okay I must laugh...this has brought back memories old & recent. First, very adorable...your son and Rub look like a perfect pair. He will enjoy his new pet. I let my oldest..now 15, have a Guinea pig when she was young & just remember it was stinky. My middle daughter age 9 has recently got a hamster as her pet (Nov) so on Dec 23rd she went to clean the cage & it was gone! yup gone! It was missing till Dec 25th yup we found it Christmas morning while we were handing out our gifts. The hamster had escaped due to my youngest, her 3yr old sister taking the top off!!! So at least if Rub ever got loose you should be able to find him easy!
