Look what I found!

At the local scrapbook store no less! Yup, the newest release "Little Lady" from Paper Trey ink. Uh huh, it's only been out 2 days and I have one, tee hee hee. Turns out that Nicole from PTI lives here in Clarksville TN and sells her stamps at the local scrap store Memories in Bloom. So today while my brother and sister-in-law were at work, I drove over there to investigate, and this is what I found. (insert huge happy face!)

I also picked up two bottles of stickles, Orange Peel and Fruit Punch, and a fab. set of Heidi Swapp goodis (not pictured cuz they are in a box.)

Now I'm gonna have to go back tomorrow so I can get some chalk inks to play with while I'm here. I didn't think about it while I was there, and all I brought with me was the Noir hybrid black and my versamark.

Stay tuned for a new card I made today...

I've been tagged!

For the first time!! I know all the rest of you bloggers have been going crazy and getting sick of being tagged, but not me! hehe...I'v been patiently waiting to be tagged and it finally happened! Thanks to Rebecca at Bella Carta!

So I am supposed to list 7 things about myself and tag 7 people, so here goes...

1. I have been going to school FOREVER it feels like, and just finished my last math class. I am now at the home stretch and hope to get my degree in December.

2. I have changed my major 7 times. Ha ha ha I know! I have wanted to be everything from an Interpreter for the Deaf to a Special Education teacher. Guess what my degree is going to be in? English literature. How funny is that? Too bad they don't have a bachelors degree in stamping huh? lol

3. I am addicted to soda...Pepsi especially. Every year I try to give it up, make it a month and fall off the wagon. Sad I know.

4. I am really short. I'm only 5'3" and my dad is 6'3" lotta good he did me huh?

5. Even though I am short, I have HUGE feet. I wear a size 11 shoe. I think that I was supposed to be tall...I have tall person feet...the rest of me didn't get the message.

6. I love the Young and the Restless. I have been watching it forever and was devastated today by the apparent death of Nicholas. (insert dorky sad face)

7. I refused to go to the first Stampin' Up party that I was invited to. Not interested I claimed. You can guess what happened, lol.

Ok now for the 7 people, I guess I am going to tag KK(cuz she hasn't updated her blog in a month, Stephanie,Cindy, Allison, Chris, Kurtis, and last but not least Linda because she is a stamping goddess and the life behind my current obsession with AmuseaPalooza (and if you haven't checked out the AmuseaPalooza blog yet, shame on you! Scoot! Get over there and join in the fun!!!

Watermarks

You know the card condoms? The little bit of writing over people's cards that protect them from nasty internet theft? Well...when I started blogging, I had NO idea how to make one, and a great gal Cindy Kerry made one for me.

Since then, they have been popping up EVERYWHERE, and since I was thinking I needed a couple more for my Papertrey Ink and A*Muse creations, I decided to figure it out myself today. Voila!! Here are my first two attemps, what do ya think? I actually think I get it now! Whoo hoo!

If you are interested in one, and would like me to make a watermark just for you...to keep your beauties safe, just email me. While I'm figuring this whole watermark business out, I will be creating them for only 5 bucks!! Let me know if you're interested!

This share is slightly smaller so there will only be spots for 5 people to join. Below is the list of the flowers that are in the share. Like the other split, everyone will get an equal share of all the flowers. In this case it would be 1/5 of each. This share will cost 15 per person and include shipping to either the US or Canada.

2 packages of the Saint Martin flowers Approx. 10-16 blooms per share

2 packages of the Trinidad flowers Approx. 10-16 blooms per share

1 tray of the Ambrosia Sorbet collection Approx 1 three layer blooms per share

1 package of the "Big Box Blooms" Petal Poetry 2 collection Approx. 2-3 blooms per share

Along with these larger blooms, you will receive a 1/5 of a bag of Itty Bitty Blooms, and 1/5 of six packages of smaller three layered flowers made out of soft velvet fabric in three different colors (approx 8 blooms).

I have 4 people who have contacted me that they are interested. They have first dibs on a spot until I hear that they are not interested. The last spot is up for grabs.

Prima Share update!!

Ok, we are almost full. Below is the list of who I have signed up and who has paid. If you are signed up and haven't sent me your paypal payment yet, please try to get that to me today so I can get these in the mail by the end of the week. Wanna' see what I got??

Tee hee hee!!!! I was in a shopping mood today, and they put in a new bridge that makes the drive to the stamp store WAY faster...so naturally I had to go, lol.

Here are all my goodies....first I found these adorable A Muse stamps...just love 'em I got Chick Delivery, Cow, and the saying "Cow's it going?" Is that not the cutest thing you've ever heard? lmao!

I also got some waterfall stickles, the prettiest rhinestone brads, the cutest brads that look like buttons, some super cute little clippie things, some pretty bottles to put them in.

I also got this great new Heidi Swapp book and some great papers from Crate Paper, Basic Grey, and Cosmo Cricket. Isn't that paper in the back awesome? It is from the new Basic Grey line "Scarlet's Letter" I just love it...it reminds me of my little brother for some reason, lol.

I'm feeling guilty here...

About not posting all week...I'm very sorry. I have had a WICKED sinus infection, plus school and everything else, I just haven't gotten anything stamped. **insert sad face**

Last Friday I took Jaden to see the La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Rodeo...it was alot of fun. He didn't sit well through the whole thing, but we still had a blast. This is a pic of him on a fake bull...I thought it was pretty funny. he he

Stay tuned for gobs of stamped stuff as I try to make up for my seriously lacking blog over the past couple of weeks.

Happy Birthday to me....

hehe.. ever notice that the older you get the more you get to buy your own birthday presents? lol.. Anyhow, I ordered myself a little birthday present on Tuesday and it actually showed up today! Talk about great timing. I got the new "Doodle Alphabet" and the "Petals and Paisley" designer paper from the new Spring mini. Then I happened by Michaels and got myself a BUNCH of the adorable Dashes, Dots, and Checks ribbon!

Pretty great birthday present if I do say so myself! (couldn't be bad since I picked it all out, haha)

Meet Richie Rich

Yup, Jaden has a new pet with another weird name. This is "Richie Rich" and he arrived today. Richie is a 15 year old Quarter horse who loves kids. And so far the feeling is quite mutual. Jaden was a little nervous at first, in fact he told me "I'll try him out, and if I don't fall off he can stay." LMAO how funny is that. Needless to say, Jaden didn't fall and Richie Rich is still here.

No laughing at Jaden's pink fuzzy socks and 4th of July boxers either, ha ha.

Hopefully I'll be back soon with another card.

Feeding the Giraffes

Jaden and I went to the zoo today. He was so excited to see the giraffes...imagine his surprise when we got there and found out that you can feed the giraffes now for 2 dollars. He was so excited and had so much fun that I spent 6 dollars, haha.

It was actually really neat to see them so up close and personal. And it made for some fabulous pictures to scrapbook! Jaden laughed so hard when he saw that they have blue tongues.

The weather was so perfect today too, it was partly cloudy and like 73 degrees. Super zoo weather.

The Desert Museum

Today I took Jaden to the Desert Museum. For all of you who don't live in Tucson, the DM is a huge outdoor museum that is built into the natural desert habitat of all the animals. It is really pretty neat, but it is so hot here that you only want to go in the winter, lol. Funniest part of the trip was that Jaden's favorite exibit was the hummingbirds. They are in a huge "cage of sorts" that is actual desert, enclosed in like a greenhouse, with a little path. The hummingbirds are so used to people that they will just fly right up to you. One actually landed on Jaden's shoe. I really wanted a picture, but since I was so close to Jaden, I couldn't move to get the camera or the little guy would have flown away. Oh well...here is a picture of the little one that landed on Jaden. He stayed on this branch for a long time so we could all get some pics of him. I'm loving the new camera...I'm amazed at some of the pictures.

Hot Chocolate that beats Starbucks handsdown!

In my secret santa box there was a little packet to make hot chocolate. It is only 43 degrees outside right now (which is like 20 below for Arizona, haha) so I decided to make a cup. Yummy!! Here is what I put in it, and I must admit it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had...even better than Starbucks **wink**

1 1/2 c. hot water
2 packs instant hot chocolate mix (I used Swiss Miss)
1/2 c. marshmallows
3 hersheys kisses (mint ones are especially yummy)
1/8 c. crushed candy canes

Stir everything together and microwave it for an additional minute. Then you can garnish the top with marshmallows and some more crushed candy canes. YUMMY!! The best hot mint chocolate ever!!

Oh my goodness, thank you!!

I am part of an amazing little group of Stampin' Up demonstrators from all across the country. We all met online, and have become great friends. We dubbed ourselves "The Amigos"...anyhow, we did a secret santa exchange this month, and my package came yesterday!! WHOO HOOOO!!

I just really really want to thank my dear friend Sherri Riley for the awesome package of goodies. She sent me all of this amazing fun stuff, including two brand new rolls of ribbon, a mono adhesive refill (which my poor double stick tape fingers greatly appreciate!), two of my favorite candies, tons of embellishments and fun ribbons, a stamped candle, brads, notecards, envelopes, and two very very cute Christmas Ornaments, one of which was for Jaden which he totally adored.

I think he was even more excited about being able to hang something else on the Christmas tree **wink** Here is a picture of him hanging it up on the tree. I think he blinked as a took it, so his eyes are all funky...but you get the point, lol.

Well, my brother and new sister-in-law are flying in today from Tennessee, and are expecting a wedding scrapbook...so I better go get to work, lol. Happy shopping!!
