Snappy Birthday...

This card is based on this week's sketch challenge on SCS. I was a little put off my all the layers at first, but am really loving how it turned out.

The card base is Certainly Celery cardstock stamped with the "Paisley Print" bg stamp. Then I cut the smaller pieces from different sheets of "Sarah" designer papers.

The little clam was stamped on a 2 1/2 inch square of Whisper White cardstock in Black Stazon. I then used my Stampin' Write markers (celery, bashful, and banana) to color him in. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the hat and the sentiment as well.

I used a direct to paper technique around the image, punched the corners with my ticket corner punch, and then mounted it on a piece of "Sarah" designer paper. After punching the corners of this as well, i went ahead and mounted this onto the card base, added some soft subtles and rich regals brads, and that's it!

Thanks for lookin'!

This is so cute...great idea to just use a series of patterned papers to make up the elements of the SC!
